The Eastern Region AAA Team, mounted a fabulous comback that just fell one goal short against the powerful Western Team. Trailing 3 - 0  going into the Second Half,   Diane Ouimet put the East on the Scoreboard with less than eight minutes to play.   Katie Robinson notched another with 6 minutes to go. Despite a tremendous effort the Eastern girls were unable to get the tying goal against their traditional rivals from the West.  It was the West's second one goal victory gold medal game in a row over the East. The First was a 1 - 0 result last November in London in the first Challenge Cup.
